Social Security Card Issued by Woolworths

...promote its product by showing how a Social Security card would fit into its wallets. The wallet was sold by Woolworth stores... many purchasers of the wallet adopted the SSN as their own. In the peak year of 1943, 5,755 people were using Hilda's number. As late as 1977, 12 people were found to still be using the SSN "issued by Woolworth."

i know someone who had to deal with that. They stuggled for a long time...then a sister in law called and it was all better.

I should go pull a credit report....

I now have Identity Theft protection because it can be very serious...

But really - how could you think a cardboard card was your real social security card?!?! Does that mean the lady in the picture is your girlfriend/mother/sister/aunt?
