Texas bound

Well I'm off to visit my godson for a week! Last summer I told his mom that if she would fly me down I would organize the then-to-be-purchased-house. So she's in her new place and still in boxes so I get to go help!

Talk to you all later. I'll try not to come back with a Texas drawl. =-)

What a fine woman you are! I read the last few posts about wanting to help a child or two, and Halloween, and now you are off to help a friend. You're what people should be.

BTW, I was raised in a conservative Christian home also. (I'm now a Unitarian for 33 years. I love it.)
Anyway, when I was a child we didn't celebrate ANY of the holidays. The bible doesn't tell us when Jesus was born, so don't do Christmas; don't celebrate Easter because you should celebrate the Resurrection each Sunday, etc., on and on.

Thanks TLP. It's interesting how religion both bans and celebrates holidays depending on the perspective. Makes me wonder what I want to do/emphasize/teach for the new kids in my home...
