OK - admit it - we all love getting gifts. Even us adults. Our gifts just cost proportionately more (ie "big boy's toys...") or proportionately less (a child's drawing) than the gifts to the short people (ie kids) among us.
So what was your best piece of loot?
I have two. My parents gave me an Oral B electric toothbrush. Very adult, very cool. And I received several gift cards that will help me get my new foster kids room set up. Very, very cool.

I got glass glasses (the drinking kind), they don't stay around here very long, so i am very thankful for those. I got bath stuff, and calanders and a Mini Traval Drive (512mb).
The girls were so jeazzed about christmas...that is all i really needed.
I got mostly gift certificates to good places in generous amounts. My favorite thing (that pops into my mind this second) was a calendar that was personalized just for me. Each month is a different photo of my twin grandaughters.
Zoo membership for the whole family. I got to pick this one out from my Mom. A free outing when we just need to get out of the house.

Heidi - I remember one year Jeanette gave me teaspoons and I loved them! For some reason we kept loosing ours... Practical can be very nice!
TLP - Love those calendars! You should post some picts of those granddaughters.

I would love to post pix of the twins. Alas my daughter and her husband are leary of doing that.
To be a parent these days and have to think about something like that! Sigh... guess I'll just imagine them as small TLP's!
